Buster enjoys a glass of Asti Spumonte, celebrating the end of a summer chock a bloc full of fun in the sun. Fresh from the bath, an onlooker overheard that pie and perhaps some soup is in the near future. Weighing in at 14.4 pounds, and sporting a gorgeous fall orange, Buster sets a high standard for future entries.
Much thanks to Doug for his invaluable contributions to the Life and Times of Buster.

Fourth of July
This mini-tall ship has been in town for a week. I had a better (meaning closer and clearer) picture, but some inconsiderate pedestrian was included.
After much too long, with many private boats pulling in way too close for comfort, the fire boat showed up.
Followed closely by the Harbormaster.
Finally, the old girl gets underway.
To give a little perspective, those are standard size American Flags on the top of each mast. The 13 stars and stripes is just huge.
Out into the harbor.
Well under way.

I was able to take a nice nap this afternon, so I didn't go out to see her come back in. I'll go out one day and take some better pictures of Old Ironsides in her dock.
For a treat, and because it comes highly recommended by Mical, I bought myself a very small George Foreman grill. Orginally, the inaugeration meal was to be today, but many things conspired to make that impractical. Nevertheless, it was not at all expensive, and I can see it's destined for many uses. It's my first grill, except a rusted out hibachi someone left on my fire escape a thousand years ago, when I lived in Harvard Square. I think I tried to use that once, but, well, it was a rusted out Hibachi.
